The steel-bodied Enviro Westport gives you the same 30,000 BTUs, the same 64.9% P4 efficiency and the same 19 1/4" x 13 1/2" fire view as the cast iron version, in 14-gauge steel instead of cast iron — which is why it is the most affordable freestanding stove Enviro builds. This is the millivolt (Nova) build with battery-powered ignition and an LP conversion kit included, so it lights and runs with no household power. It heats roughly 1,700 square feet from a 26" W x 28" H x 20" D footprint and converts between top and rear venting. Installed across Saskatchewan by Wheatland Fireplace.

1. What do I give up versus the cast iron Westport?
Thermal mass and looks, not output — the specs are identical. Cast iron holds heat longer after the burner drops and has the traditional stove appearance; steel costs meaningfully less.
2. Is this a good cabin stove?
It is one of the best value cabin stoves we sell: battery ignition means no power needed, and the LP conversion kit is already in the box.
3. Is a fan included?
No — the 150 CFM fan kit is a separate order.
4. What venting does it need?
A direct vent system, convertible between top and rear. A B-vent draft hood adapter and DV vent kit with coupler are available for other configurations.
5. How much space will it heat?
Roughly 1,700 square feet at 30,000 BTUs.
