Turn a Small Fireplace into a Sealed, Efficient Heater

The Enviro E20 Gas Insert is the smallest insert Enviro builds, sized for the compact masonry openings common in older Saskatoon and Regina homes — it needs only 24 1/4" W x 18 1/4" H with a depth between 14 5/16" and 16 1/2". A cast iron heat exchanger and 110 CFM fan return 23,000 BTUs of usable heat to the room at 66.45% efficiency, where an open fireplace sends most of it up the chimney. This build has IPI electronic ignition with a remote, plus the log set, fan and steel liner. Measured, supplied and installed by Wheatland Fireplace across Saskatchewan.

FAQ

1. Will the E20 fit my fireplace?
It needs a minimum opening of 24 1/4" wide by 18 1/4" high with usable depth between 14 5/16" and 16 1/2" — the smallest requirement in the Enviro insert line. We measure before quoting.
2. What does an insert change?
It seals the opening and vents through a liner in your existing chimney, so combustion air comes from outside and the heat stays in the room. An open fireplace is close to a net heat loss on a cold night.
3. How much heat is 23,000 BTUs?
Enough for about 1,200 square feet — well matched to the smaller rooms this insert is designed for.
4. What surrounds are available?
Contemporary, Galiano in brushed graphite, Modern, oversize Contemporary and Slim, plus a trimmable filler panel for awkward masonry.
5. Does Wheatland Fireplace run the chimney liner?
Yes — liner, seal, surround and finishing are all part of our installation, anywhere in Saskatchewan.
