The Tall U30 — More Glass, More Light, More Presence

The Tall build of the Urbana U30 raises the glass from 20 inches to 26 and lifts efficiency to 67.88%, which makes it the best-performing unit in the U30 family as well as the most dramatic. It keeps the three-sided glass-to-glass construction with no corner pillars and no screen required, and this configuration adds adjustable ember bed colour LED lighting plus clear glass media — an app-controlled light show under the flame, or a glowing feature with the burner off entirely. Painted liner and the top lighting kit are included. Wheatland Fireplace supplies and installs it province-wide.

FAQ

1. How do the colour LEDs work?
They light the ember bed independently of the flame, with adjustable colour and brightness. They run through Urbana's control system — note that the WiFi control operates on a 2.4 GHz connection and will not run on 5.0 GHz.
2. Can I run the lights without the fire?
Yes — that is one of the best things about this build. In summer the fireplace stays a feature rather than a dark hole in the wall.
3. Is the Tall version worth the difference?
Six extra inches of glass changes the proportions considerably, and it is the most efficient U30 at 67.88%. In a room with height, it is the better-looking unit.
4. What is included in this package?
The colour LEDs, painted liner and clear glass media, on natural gas with IPI ignition, plus the top lighting kit. Liner and media upgrades are quoted alongside.
5. Does the three-sided design limit where it can go?
It opens up more than it limits — peninsulas, room dividers and corners all become possible. It does need planning before framing, so talk to us early.
