Urbana's Most Dramatic Linear Fire

The Urbana U70 Tall ULTRA is the top of the linear range: 70 inches wide by 26 tall of seamless double glass, with the ULTRA Fire-in-Log burner system — flame that rises through the log set itself rather than in front of it, which is the closest a gas fireplace gets to a real wood fire. Shale media is included, no safety screen is required, and the ventilated chase design plus high-output power vent compatibility let it go where a conventional linear cannot. Wall-mounted touchscreen controls are available. Supplied and installed by Wheatland Fireplace across Saskatchewan.

1. What is the Fire-in-Log system?
The burner drives flame up through the log set rather than in front of it, so the fire looks like it is consuming the logs. It is the single biggest visual difference between the ULTRA and a standard linear fireplace.
2. Is the fire-in-log set included?
Not in every configuration — on some ULTRA orders it is a separate line. We confirm exactly what is included when we quote.
3. What does the ventilated chase design mean for my build?
A fireplace this size generates real heat inside its enclosure; the ULTRA is designed for that. It does mean the chase has to be built to spec, so plan it in early.
4. What venting does it need?
It is high-output power vent compatible, vertical or horizontal. The route is decided before framing.
5. Is this a heating appliance or a feature?
Honestly, a feature — Urbana publishes 24.2% efficiency for this configuration. You buy it for the fire, not the furnace bill.
