Small Cast Iron Insert with Traditional Character

The Hampton Hi1150 from Wheatland Fireplace is a traditionally styled cast iron wood insert designed to drop straight into an existing small fireplace. The cast iron exterior does more than look good — it radiates additional heat into the room — while the decorative cast grille and wood-finished handle give an older Saskatoon or Regina hearth genuine old-world character. Underneath it's modern: 55,000 BTU/hr at 71% efficiency, 1.3 g/hr emissions, and up to 8 hours of burn from a sealed firebox. Available in Metallic Black or Timberline Brown enamel, installed across Saskatchewan by Wheatland Fireplace.

FAQ

1. What finishes does the Hi1150 come in?
Metallic Black and Timberline Brown enamel. The Timberline Brown enamel is a premium finish.
2. What opening does it need?
A minimum of 25 in. wide, 19 5/8 in. high, and 15 in. deep. We measure your fireplace before quoting.
3. Why cast iron?
Cast iron holds and radiates heat, so the insert keeps warming the room after the fire dies down — and it looks the part in a traditional home.
4. Is it a real heater or mostly for looks?
A real heater: 55,000 BTU/hr from a sealed EPA firebox, compared to an open fireplace that usually loses more heat than it gives.
5. Who installs it?
Wheatland Fireplace — measurement, stainless liner, and installation, anywhere in Saskatchewan.
