Compact Contemporary Insert with a Flush, Modern Face

The Regency Alterra Ci1150 from Wheatland Fireplace is the modern answer to a dated small fireplace. Its flush contemporary face and cast iron exterior make an older Saskatoon or Regina hearth look deliberately designed rather than left over, while a built-in blower spreads the heat. Behind that face it's a serious little heater: 55,000 BTU/hr at 71% efficiency, 1.3 g/hr emissions, and up to 8 hours of burn from a sealed 0.98 cu. ft. firebox — plus a generous 170 sq. in. view of the fire. Measured, lined, and installed across Saskatchewan by Wheatland Fireplace.

1. What makes the Alterra different from the Classic i-series?
Styling, mainly — the Alterra Ci1150 has a flush contemporary face and cast iron exterior where the i1150 is traditional. Both are excellent small wood inserts.
2. What opening does it need?
A minimum of 25 in. wide, 23 in. high, and 15 1/8 in. deep. We measure your fireplace before quoting.
3. Does it come with a blower?
Yes — a blower is built in to help push warm air out into the room.
4. Is it efficient?
71% efficiency with 1.3 g/hr emissions from a sealed firebox — a night-and-day improvement over burning in the open fireplace it replaces.
5. Who handles the install?
